How the Peer Support Program Works
Matching Process
- Application: Both cancer survivors and warriors fill out a detailed application form.
- Matching: Our team carefully reviews the applications and matches survivors with warriors based on cancer type, treatment experience, and personal preferences.
Connecting
- Initial Meeting: Once matched, an initial virtual or in-person meeting is arranged to introduce the survivor and warrior.
- Ongoing Support: Regular check-ins are scheduled based on the preferences and needs of both parties. Support can be provided through phone calls, video chats, or emails.
Resources
- Support Materials: Both survivors and warriors have access to a wealth of resources, including educational materials, coping strategies, and community forums.
