Penny’s Dream: New York City

This Dream Grant supports Penny, a cancer warrior who had to postpone a milestone trip because treatment came first. Today, we’re helping bring that long-held wish back to life.

Her story

Penny has been through a demanding treatment journey that included multiple therapies and surgeries, followed by ongoing recovery and long-term medication. Like many survivors, life after treatment can still come with side effects and challenges — even when the hardest chapters are behind you.

Penny’s dream is to visit New York City — a trip that was originally planned as a milestone celebration, but had to be postponed due to intensive treatment. This dream is about reclaiming joy, marking a new beginning, and creating a memory that cancer delayed — not canceled.
